2000-2001 Secretary's Report

Greetings from the desk of the CUG Secretary. CUG has had another busy year and the officers of the Board of Directors have been deeply involved in all of these activities. In addition to taking and publishing minutes of Board meetings, the Secretary has served as ex-officio member of the Bylaw Review Committee that was so ably chaired by Uwe Olias. The Committee presented its proposed revisions to the membership at the Indian Wells CUG and these revisions were accepted. The Secretary is also serving as an advisor to the Handbook Review Committee, again ably chaired by Uwe Olias. This Committee will present its proposed revisions at the Manchester CUG in 2002. All of the work that is currently going on to bring the Bylaws and the Handbook up-to-date means that CUG is continuing to strive to bring its members the most modern and timely information of high-performance computing and the activities of its associated vendors.
