CUG - A Forum for HPC Users

 

Silicon Valley CUG

Dining/Entertainment

The conference fee includes refreshments during breaks, continental breakfasts, and lunches Tuesday through Thursday at the Red Lion Hotel. Continental breakfast and breaks will also be provided on Friday. On Monday evening SGI/Cray Research will host a reception for all CUG attendees. On Tuesday evening CUG will host a reception for newcomers. On Wednesday evening CUG will host the Night Out. Details on this event will appear here at a later date and in the Final Local Arrangements.

Special accommodations/dietary requirements should be noted on the Conference Registration Form under "Any special requirements."

Social Events

Monday Evening-

SGI/Cray Research, Inc. Reception

All conference participants and their guests are invited to attend a reception hosted by SGI/Cray Research, Inc. on Monday, May 5, from 7:00pm-9:00pm. in the Red Lion Hotel.

Tuesday Evening-

Newcomers' Reception

All first-time CUG attendees are invited to a reception on Tuesday, May 6, from 5:30-7:00pm at the Red Lion Hotel. At this time there will be a brief presentation about CUG and an opportunity for you to meet with SGI/Cray Research, Inc. and CUG representatives.

Wednesday Evening-

Night Out

The traditional CUG night out will take us to the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. A buffet dinner will be held in the beautiful gardens and tour guides will take us through this eerie but magnificent mansion. Dress casually and comfortably; bring a sweater or a light jacket, because the mansion might be chilly. (Note: The mansion is NOT wheelchair accessible).

Note: The Night Out is included in your registration fee, however additional guest tickets may be purchased separately for $70.00 each. You may buy them in advance by so noting on your Conference Registration Form.
