The CUG Fall 2000 Workshop will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota October 23-25, 2000. There will be a workshop dinner on October 23rd. Sponsors for the workshop are CUG and Cray Inc.
The meeting will be one-track for two and one half days starting at 8:30 on Monday, October 23th. Planned sessions include:
User Applications
Tutorials
Optimization
Roadmap and Software Update
Libraries and other third party projects

Registration fees for the meeting are
>>>Your registration fee includes a continental breakfast on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and lunch Monday and Tuesday. In additon, you are invited to attend a reception on Monday (sponsored by Cray Inc.) and dinner Tuesday evening (sponsored by CUG).
Please come to the registration area at the hotel to pick up badges and pay registration fees. Office hours are:

The meeting will be held at the Hotel Sofitel Minneapolis in Bloomington, Minnesota. The hotel is just outside Minneapolis and very close to the airport. See the map at the hotel's web site.
The conference room rate is $109 if rooms are reserved by October 12. A very limited number of rooms will be available at the US government rate. Airport Express is a public shuttle van service, providing transportation from the airport to hotels in Downtown Minneapolis. A shuttle departs from the airport (in front of the luggage pick-up area) approximately every half hour. The cost is $10.00 one-way and $16.50 round-trip. It is best to make advance reservations using the above phone number.

At the airport, taxis are available at the cab starter booth. From the Main Terminal building, cross underground through the Ground Transportation Center toward the parking ramp and go up one level. The distance to downtown Minneapolis is approximately 16 miles. All cab fares are metered.
