GOLF

The Golf Resort at Indian Wells is conveniently located next to the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort, offering two exciting 18-hole golf courses designed by the renowned Ted Robinson. These championship courses were the previous site for the Senior PGA Gulfstream Aerospace Invitational, and include special features such as tee elevations of up to 60 feet and multi-tiered greens of varying grain. Nine lakes bring water into play on 16 of the holes to provide challenging terrain, while breathtaking views sweep the desert floor and mountain ranges. Hyatt offers the added service of Luke Hayes, Golf Coordinator. His professional staff will coordinate and assist your group in the best round of golf ever! TENNIS

For the ultimate in tennis, Hyatt Grand Champions resort offers a world-class tennis facility with 12 lighted courts, including 8 hard surfaces, 2 grass and 2 clay courts. Home to the ESPN televised Evert Cup/Newsweek Champions Cup, the tennis facility features the third largest tennis stadium in the country – 11,500 seats. Daily passes for Hotel guests are available per day, for unlimited play on any surface.

SPA AND HEALTH & FITNESS CENTER

A complete exercise and fitness center is available to Hotel guests featuring; Stairmasters, Lifecycles, treadmills, Keiser Weight equipment, Nordic Track Cross Country Machines, free weights and Gravitron machines. Locker room facilities with grooming amenities are also available along with a juice and fruit bar, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and six luxuriously massage rooms.

Museums & Theatres

Air Museum – The Palm Springs air museum is dedicated to the restoration, preservation and operation of America’s legendary fighters, bombers and trainers. It contains one of the world’s largest collections of flying WWII airplanes, including the Robert J. Pond collection. A living tribute to America’s Veterans and the planes they flew. Operating hours are 10:00am – 5:00 pm, daily. Admission costs are: Adults $8.00, Children (6-12) $3.50, under 3 years of age Free.

L.A. Cave – A man-made cave filled with glittering crystals, sparkling gemstones and exotic shells from around the world. Located in the heart of Palm Springs, the "Shell room of the L.A. McCallum Theatre – The McCallum Theatre for the performing arts is part of the Bob Hope cultural center. Serves as a multi-purpose, ultra modern facility that serves the desert resorts as the premier showcase for visiting artists, symphonies, musicals, operas and world-class performers. Palm Springs Desert Museum – A focal point for desert cultural activities. Exhibitions and presentations in the arts, natural sciences and performing arts fields are presented regularly. Located at 101 Museum Drive. Admission charges are $4.00 for Adults, $3.00 for Seniors and $2.00 for children.

Art Galleries

Over 50 galleries are located throughout the Palm Springs area representing a diversity of painting and sculpture. A walk along Palm Desert El Paseo or Palm Spings’ Palm Canyon Drive is sure to find comparable works for visitors to enjoy.

World Class Shopping

Stroll along the fabulous El Paseo Drive in Palm Desert and explore its many beautiful boutiques and specialty shops. In Palm Springs, browse through the Desert Fashion Plaza and the exclusive courtyard with its world renowned shops. In Rancho Mirage, it’s the Las Palmas Shopping Center and in Palm Desert, visit the Palm Desert Town Center.

Outdoor Activities

Horseback Riding - Ivey Ranch, 75-205 Shadow Valley Road. A two hour tour to the end of Palm Springs and up into the Indian Canyon Area. Horses are available for rent at Smoketree Stables (1-760) 327-1372.

Hiking – Palm Springs is the world mecca for desert hiking. Over one hundred miles of well maintained trails are within the Coachella valley.

Camelot Park – Be a kid again. Choose from miniature golf. Go karts, bumper boats. Batting cages, laser tag, a 10,000 ft. game pavilion and many food stations.
