Cray Inc. will host a reception on Tuesday evening in the Knoxville Marriott, Riverview Room. All conference participants and their guests are invited to attend.
For the last few years, some of our attendees have formed a CUG Chorus. It started a few years ago, with the adaptation of a clypso tune as "Thought I Heard my User Say" and have performed it together with other songs at CUG conferences. We are forming another group to sing at CUG 2004 and would love to have you join us. We have a lot of fun and perform for about 10 minutes. We rehearse the day before, sometimes the day we perform; typically at the Cray reception. Contact Bob Winget for more information.
On Wednesday, all attendees are invited to enjoy a night out organized by the Local Arrangements Committee. We will be walking across the street to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. We'll start with a casual dinner and cash bar in the rotunda, followed by access to all the fun exhibits in the museum. This includes the fully interactive exhibits in The Playground, so bring your sneakers!
The Women's Basketball Hall of Fame is a 32,000-square foot building that honors the past, celebrates the present and promotes the future of women's basketball. |
